Job Description
Chili's Grill & Bar, established in Dallas, Texas, in 1975, has grown to become a beloved name in the casual dining industry. Famous for their Big Mouth burgers, house-smoked ribs, full-on fajitas, and hand-shaken margaritas, Chili's focuses on creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for guests to enjoy flavorful meals and memorable experiences. The company prides itself on a legacy rooted in service, hospitality, and community engagement, making it a popular choice for both dining out and career opportunities. With a strong emphasis on delivering excellent guest service every day, Chili's offers a vibrant team environment that nurtures growth and development for its employees.
At the Chili's location in Willis, TX, the Line Cook position plays a crucial role in upholding the restaurant's standards of quality and efficiency within the kitchen. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation and working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Line Cook team members are key contributors to the Heart of House team, responsible for maintaining the kitchen's rhythm during shifts to ensure timely and accurate food service. The company offers both part-time and full-time schedules, accommodating flexible availability, and encourages career advancement within their growing team. The hiring process is swift, reflecting Chili's eagerness to welcome dedicated team players ready to contribute from day one.
The Line Cook is expected to master Chili’s recipe procedures, ensuring every dish meets the restaurant’s quality and presentation standards. Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen is critical, as is adhering to all safety and sanitation policies to provide a safe working environment for all employees. Communication is also a key component of this role; the Line Cook needs to effectively convey ticket times and coordinate with other team members to keep food moving smoothly from preparation to the customer’s table.
Ideal candidates embody a friendly, warm, and caring demeanor, contributing to a positive team atmosphere. The nature of the work requires someone who thinks and acts quickly under pressure, adapting to the needs of a high-volume setting without compromising quality. Experience with kitchen equipment such as slicers, mixers, grinders, and food processors is highly beneficial. While prior food service and preparation experience is preferred, Chili's also welcomes motivated individuals eager to learn and grow within the hospitality industry. In return for dedication and service, Chili's provides a supportive team culture that fosters both professional and personal growth.
