We are looking for a passionate and skilled Line Cook to become an integral part of our team. This role demands attention to detail, speed, and accuracy in food preparation, all while maintaining the ability to work efficiently under pressure. As a Line Cook at Home Team, you will be responsible for ensuring every dish meets the company’s elevated standards from prep to plating. You will handle and store fresh ingredients properly, consistently execute recipes and portion sizes, and keep your workstation clean and organized throughout the shift. This position is perfect for an individual who thrives when taking on multiple responsibilities, prioritizing tasks, and maintaining professionalism in a busy kitchen setting. The role includes AM and PM backup duties, preparation tasks based on guidance from the Executive Chef or Sous Chef, and active participation as a line cook during peak hours. Physical durability, including standing for long periods, bending, lifting, and clear communication, are necessary aspects of the role. Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling
  • Ability to follow detailed recipes and instructions
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Basic culinary education or certification is a plus
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new cooking techniques and menu changes

Job Duties

  • Handle, store, and rotate food properly to ensure freshness and safety
  • Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and plating specifications set by Home Team
  • Maintain a sanitary and efficient workspace throughout prep and service
  • Set up the steam table with proper water levels, heat food to correct temperatures, and ensure readiness for service
  • Maintain par levels by keeping the steam table stocked, heated, and service-ready
  • Follow prep lists from the Executive Chef or Sous Chef, ensuring proper preparation and storage of ingredients
  • Cook and assemble menu items at the station, ensuring quality and consistency
