The available position is for a Line Cook, a crucial role in the kitchen responsible for preparing food according to recipes and menu items created by the Kitchen Manager. This is a non-exempt position that reports directly to the Kitchen Manager, Restaurant Manager, and Bar Manager. The Line Cook plays a vital part in maintaining the kitchen’s efficiency and smooth operation, ensuring that food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, sanitation, and safety. Their responsibilities extend from the preparation and plating of food to equipment cleaning and food storage, helping to uphold stringent food safety standards.

The Line Cook’s duties include stocking and setting up kitchen stations at the start of shifts, preparing and cooking a variety of foods from appetizers to desserts, and making sure orders are completed promptly to meet guests’ requests. They also take part in routine cleaning tasks, including cleaning kitchen equipment such as refrigerators and fryers, performing temperature checks, and ensuring the overall hygiene of the kitchen environment. Job Duties

  • Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
  • Preparing food including cleaning, cutting the ingredients, cooking appetizers, snacks, main dishes, and desserts
  • Plating prepared foods based on the Kitchen Manager's guidance
  • Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed in a timely manner according to the guest's requests
  • Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils, and storing equipment used at the end of all shifts
  • Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food and safety standards
  • Daily recording of fridge temperatures and line temperatures
  • Daily cleaning of kitchen equipment such as refrigerators, flat tops, and oil fryers including cleaning under, behind, and inside and outside of all equipment
  • Cross-functional training in prep cooking and the ability to assume those responsibilities as necessary based on the needs of the business
  • Putting away food orders as they arrive as needed
