Job Description

Union Square Hospitality Group (USHG) is a prominent hospitality company known for creating some of New York City's most iconic and beloved restaurants, cafes, and bars. Founded by visionary restaurateur Danny Meyer in 1985 with the opening of Union Square Cafe, USHG has grown into a celebrated culinary empire encompassing a diverse portfolio of fine dining establishments as well as an expanding range of fast-casual concepts. The group prides itself on delivering outstanding food experiences enhanced by warm, genuine hospitality, which remains the cornerstone of its operational philosophy. USHG's influence extends beyond New York, with innovative concepts that have resonated across multiple cities, including Jersey City, Boston, and Washington, D.C. Daily Provisions, one of USHG's growing collections of all-day neighborhood cafes, originated in 2017 from the kitchen of the original Union Square Cafe. Daily Provisions is recognized for its elevated take on classic comfort foods, featuring signature offerings such as crullers, all-day breakfast sandwiches, chef-driven salads, made-to-order sandwiches, and comforting dinner entrees like their famed Roast Chicken. This concept maintains a strong commitment to quality and community, making it a cherished destination for locals and visitors alike.

As a Line Cook at Daily Provisions under the umbrella of Union Square Hospitality Group, you will join a passionate team dedicated to excellence, culinary craftsmanship, and the delivery of what USHG calls Enlightened Hospitality. This role offers a unique opportunity to hone your culinary skills and advance your career in a fast-paced, supportive kitchen environment. You will be responsible for all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and portion control, while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency. Working at USHG means being part of a culture that values creativity, growth, and collaboration. Your work will directly contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for guests, all while developing your technical expertise and becoming a key member of the kitchen team. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly rate of $18 to $19, reflective of experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being and career development. If you are passionate about food, eager to learn, and thrive in a team-oriented environment, this role is an excellent fit to grow into a leadership position within the culinary world.
