Universal Horror Unleashed offers a terrifyingly unique entertainment experience located in Area 15, Las Vegas. This attraction is designed to bring a year-round haunt with immersive horror entertainment that captures the essence of the macabre and thrilling world of Universal Studios. Located within the vibrant and popular entertainment district, Universal Horror Unleashed represents a new kind of horror experience featuring special effects such as strobe lights, fog, artificial smells, and more, creating an atmosphere like no other. The position focuses on food preparation and cooking within a fast-paced, multi-unit operation environment. It requires adherence to established standards ensuring the presentation, taste, and quality of food consistently meet Universal’s high standards. Responsibilities include preparing food according to recipes, observing allergen information, maintaining proper knife skills, and complying with state health and safety regulations such as the Nevada HACCP program and ServSafe certification standards.
This role involves performing a variety of daily kitchen operations, including opening and closing procedures, stocking, and unloading deliveries. The candidate must work cooperatively with other team members in a dynamic environment while providing excellent guest service during interactions. Commitment to safety is essential, requiring active participation in Universal's environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1 year of line cook experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be able to work flexible and varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Consistent attendance required
- Possession of SNHD Health card
- Reasonable accommodations may be made for disabilities
- Ability to perform essential functions satisfactorily
