Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • at least one year of kitchen experience preferred but not required
  • basic math skills including addition and subtraction
  • legible handwriting
  • strong customer service and oral communication skills

Job Duties

  • know and understand every item on the menu including portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules
  • assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served
  • work closely with the chef to provide absolute consistency on every plate
  • work on timing to get every ticket out in an appropriate amount of time
  • communicate consistently with co-workers during prime service hours
  • keep your workstation clean and stocked
  • practice safe knife handling
  • assist in putting away deliveries when help is needed
  • lift up to 50 pounds
  • open and close the kitchen properly following opening and closing checklists
  • report any problems with co-workers to management
  • arrive promptly and in full uniform for scheduled shifts
  • request days off in advance and with approval
  • have a positive attitude and contribute to a positive guest experience
