Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- At least one year of kitchen experience preferred but not required
- Basic math skills including addition and subtraction
- Legible handwriting
- Strong customer service skills
- Effective oral communication skills
Job Duties
- Know and understand every item on the menu including portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules
- Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served
- Work closely with the Chef to provide absolute consistency on every plate
- Work on timing to get every ticket out in an appropriate amount of time
- During prime service hours, remain focused on designated tasks and communicate consistently with co-workers
- See who else may need help with prepping and getting ready when your station is ready for service
- Keep your workstation clean and stocked
- Practice safe knife handling and seek training if needed
- Assist in putting away deliveries when help is needed
- Lift 50 pounds and respect each co-worker including front of house
- Look for ways to be productive when there is time to spare
- Properly open and close the kitchen following checklists and assist others in kitchen closing
- Report co-worker issues to management for appropriate resolution
- Arrive promptly and in full uniform for all scheduled shifts including meetings
- Submit requested days off two weeks in advance and obtain approval
- Follow and abide by all employee handbook policies
- Maintain a positive attitude and be willing to help create a positive experience for guests
