Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills
- Previous kitchen experience preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Culinary school education or related training is a plus
- Previous experience in a kitchen or as a line cook preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and handle pressure
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and safety standards
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
- Good communication skills to interact with kitchen and front-of-house staff
- Ability to work well as part of a team
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook food items according to standard recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines
- Ensure all dishes are cooked to correct temperatures and meet quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation while preparing ingredients
- Follow instructions from kitchen manager or chef to ensure consistency and quality
- Season and cook food according to recipes or customer preferences
- Ensure food is plated according to restaurant standards and plating guidelines
- Keep workstations clean and organized, including equipment and utensils
