Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Previous kitchen experience preferred

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Culinary school education or related training is a plus
  • Previous experience in a kitchen or as a line cook preferred but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and handle pressure
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and safety standards
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Good communication skills to interact with kitchen and front-of-house staff
  • Ability to work well as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food items according to standard recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines
  • Ensure all dishes are cooked to correct temperatures and meet quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation while preparing ingredients
  • Follow instructions from kitchen manager or chef to ensure consistency and quality
  • Season and cook food according to recipes or customer preferences
  • Ensure food is plated according to restaurant standards and plating guidelines
  • Keep workstations clean and organized, including equipment and utensils
