Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cooking experience in a restaurant or senior living setting preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen tasks
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards
  • Must pass background screening and meet community state residency requirements
  • Flexibility to work scheduled shifts without late nights
  • Commitment to professional grooming and hygiene standards

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a Cook or Chef in a restaurant or similar kitchen setting
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Commitment to quality, creativity, and adherence to food safety standards
  • Positive attitude, endurance, and willingness to learn continuously
  • Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen sanitation
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills for effective teamwork

Job Duties

  • Prepare assigned meals following established recipes and gastronomic standards
  • Showcase flair for plating and food presentation
  • Maintain temperature charts and food safety records
  • Adhere to sanitation protocols and quality control
  • Notify the Chef of inventory needs and participate in streamlined kitchen operations
  • Uphold professional appearance and kitchen hygiene standards
  • Assist in organizing the kitchen, food storage, dish room, and culinary areas
  • Ensure a first-in, first-out food rotation system for optimum freshness
  • Assist Chef Manager and Food and Beverage Director in improving kitchen efficiency and staff training
  • Follow all sanitation, food handling, and safety policies to meet regulatory requirements
