Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in food service or culinary field preferred
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- physical capability to perform moderate to strenuous tasks such as lifting, standing, and handling kitchen equipment
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- strong work ethic and reliability
- ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision

- ability to follow recipes and maintain portion control
- practical experience in a kitchen environment preferred
- strong communication skills to liaise with kitchen and front-end staff

- capacity to perform physical activities including lifting up to 40 pounds and standing for extended periods
Job Duties
- inspect all kitchen surfaces to ensure that all areas are safe and sanitary in accordance with food handling procedures
- prepare food as directed
- season and cook food according to recipes using personal judgment and experience
- ensure appropriate presentation and quality of dishes
- estimate expected food consumption based on previous trends and developments
- inventory, place orders and properly store, date and rotate food items
- organize food storage and kitchen equipment
- consult with supervisory staff to plan menus, taking into consideration factors such as costs and special event needs
- supervise work of kitchen staff as directed by management
