Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • culinary training preferred
  • two years experience working in a fast-paced high-end club or restaurant
  • ability to work extended hours including late nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to stand, sit, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms
  • ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
  • specific vision abilities including close vision and distance vision
  • food handler's permit
  • ServSafe food handling certification

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • culinary training preferred
  • must have two years experience working in a fast-paced high-end club or restaurant
  • excellent customer service skills
  • strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels
  • proficiency in advanced cooking methods and techniques
  • mastery of knife handling and knife maintenance
  • understanding of different ingredients, their uses, and seasonal availability
  • ability to create balanced and harmonious flavor profiles
  • ability to manage people and resources
  • strong multitasking skills
  • ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • bilingual in Spanish preferred

Job Duties

  • Follow assignments for opening and closing procedures and food preparation
  • prepare food items by complying with portion size, quality standards, departmental rules, policies and procedures
  • ensure that proper food temperatures are maintained
  • responsible for safety standards, neatness and sanitation of work areas
  • maintain cleanliness of kitchen including shelves, walls, floors and drains
  • participate as a team player with specific responsibilities related to preparation, excellent service and delivery of products
  • maintain proper sanitation for all dining and cooking utensils and cookware
  • handle and clean kitchen equipment carefully and safely to prevent damage or injury
  • adhere to company guidelines for appearance and uniform standards
  • perform other duties as assigned
