In addition to pay, employees benefit from numerous perks including free employee parking, full benefits, and promising advancement opportunities within the company, making it an excellent choice for those looking to develop a rewarding career in food service.
As a Line Cook with SSP America, you will be responsible for preparing food orders with precision and care, following established recipes and portion controls to uphold the high-quality standards of the brand. The role requires meticulous attention to detail in both food preparation and kitchen setup, ensuring that every station is organized and stock levels are maintained to keep kitchen operations smooth throughout the shift. Your commitment to cleanliness, safety, and efficient use of equipment will be crucial factors in delivering an outstanding dining experience for customers.
Working in the fast-paced environment of Denver International Airport's restaurant scene, the Line Cook will also handle the requisitioning and proper storage of food and supplies, ensuring that all perishables are managed to maintain freshness and safety. Daily responsibilities include the setup and cleaning of cooking machinery and equipment, conducting opening and closing checklists, and collaborating closely with other culinary and service team members to uphold health standards and customer satisfaction.
This role requires a motivated individual with at least one year of food service experience, basic math skills, the ability to communicate effectively in English, and an understanding of food safety regulations, including obtaining a food handler's permit as mandated by law. The ability to work long hours standing in confined spaces, combined with a high school diploma preferred and a strong team orientation, makes this a fantastic opportunity for candidates eager to thrive within a reputable food service company.
