The current opportunity at Noii Sushi is for a skilled Line Cook specializing in the sauté station. This role is offered on both a full-time and part-time basis, with compensation ranging from $21.5 to $23 per hour plus tips. The Line Cook (Sauté) is a vital member of the culinary team, responsible for preparing a variety of hot dishes using precise sauté techniques. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong expertise in working under pressure in fast-paced kitchens, possessing an excellent sense of timing and flavor balance. Attention to detail and a commitment to executing every plate perfectly are critical for success in this position.
The Line Cook will engage in numerous tasks that contribute to the overall flow and quality of service. Responsibilities include managing sauté pans efficiently, coordinating multiple items simultaneously, and preparing proteins, vegetables, sauces, and garnishes to create beautifully composed dishes. Maintaining high standards for food quality, taste, presentation, and consistency is expected at all times. This role requires the ability to follow standardized recipes and plating guidelines while contributing to the dynamic cadence of kitchen operations.
Additional duties include assisting with prep tasks such as portioning proteins, reducing sauces, and cutting vegetables, as well as adhering to strict food safety and sanitation protocols in compliance with health department standards. The Line Cook is also involved in monitoring inventory specific to the station, supporting FIFO rotation, and preparing ingredient lists. Collaboration and teamwork are essential, as the candidate will work closely with others in the kitchen to ensure smooth and timely service.
