Job Duties

  • Prepare a variety of hot dishes using sauté techniques with precision and efficiency
  • Operate sauté pans and coordinate multiple items on the stove during service
  • Work with proteins, vegetables, sauces, and garnishes to execute composed dishes
  • Maintain high standards for food quality, taste, presentation, and consistency
  • Follow standardized recipes and plating guidelines while contributing to the flow of the kitchen
  • Assist with prep tasks including portioning proteins, reducing sauces, and cutting vegetables
  • Uphold strict food safety and sanitation protocols in accordance with health department guidelines
  • Monitor inventory for assigned station and assist with FIFO rotation and prep lists
  • Collaborate closely with the kitchen team to ensure a smooth and timely service
  • Support training and mentoring of junior cooks when needed
