Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Culinary school education or related training is a plus
  • Previous kitchen or line cook experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and handle pressure
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Good communication skills for teamwork
  • Ability to work well as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food items according to standard recipes and portion sizes
  • Ensure dishes are cooked to the correct temperatures and meet quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation including ingredient preparation
  • Follow kitchen manager or chef instructions to ensure consistency
  • Season and cook food according to recipes or customer preferences
  • Plate food according to restaurant standards and presentation guidelines
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff for timely delivery of food
  • Keep kitchen equipment and utensils clean and safely maintained
  • Follow health and safety regulations in the kitchen
  • Track inventory levels and assist with receiving and storing deliveries
  • Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff
  • Train new kitchen staff as needed
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Manage multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
