Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience working as a line cook in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively with teammates, managers, and customers
  • Ability to memorize and follow recipes, accurately measure ingredients, and adhere to food preparation guidelines
  • Demonstrated skill in knife handling and proficiency with kitchen equipment
  • Knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation practices
  • A valid Food Handler's Card or willingness to obtain during training as required by law
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and kneel for the duration of shift
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain composure in a fast-paced setting while ensuring high-quality results

Job Duties

  • Prepare, cook, and plate food to order according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines
  • Follow safety protocols and kitchen practices to ensure a safe working environment
  • Set up and maintain an organized, clean kitchen station daily ensuring all ingredients, tools, and equipment are stocked and ready for service
  • Properly handle, store, and rotate ingredients using FIFO to maintain quality and freshness
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning
  • Complete prep lists and kitchen checklists before service begins
  • Execute cleaning duties as assigned to maintain a sanitary kitchen environment
  • Communicate with the manager at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure smooth operations
  • Perform other tasks as required to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently
