Interlachen Country Club, located in Winter Park, Florida, is a prestigious private club renowned for its exceptional amenities, beautiful landscape, and attentive service. The club features a full-service restaurant, golf course, tennis courts, fitness facilities, swimming pools, and event spaces, all designed to foster a welcoming and active community. The Pool Kitchen & Bar is one of the key dining outlets within the club, recently renovated in 2015 to create a stylish indoor and outdoor dining environment. The current opening is for a full-time experienced Line Cook position within the Pool Kitchen Culinary Team at Interlachen Country Club. The role is essential to maintaining the high standards of food quality and presentation that the club is known for. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining your workstation for lunch and dinner service. You will collaborate closely with other culinary team members, servers, and supervisors to ensure that all food orders are prepared accurately and delivered timely. This role demands excellent culinary skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.

The Line Cook will handle various stations within the Pool Kitchen, including pantry, grill, flat top, pizza, and prep areas, supporting cross-training efforts to enhance versatility. The position requires preparing menu items based on standardized recipes and presentation guidelines, including weekly specials, ensuring consistency and quality. In addition, the Line Cook will maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, coolers, and cooking equipment, contributing to a safe and efficient kitchen operation. This role also involves performing utility duties during off-peak times or when utility staff are not scheduled.

The compensation for this role ranges from $18 to $25 per hour, reflecting experience and skill level. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience cooking in a professional kitchen
  • must be able to stand for extended periods
  • able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • flexible availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • willingness to perform cleaning and utility duties

Job Duties

  • Preps and stocks all items needed to assemble regular menu selections in addition to the weekly Pool Kitchen specials
  • uses standardized recipes and presentation photos as guidelines to prepare Pool Kitchen menu items and specials
  • cross-train on all Pool Kitchen stations including pantry, grill, flat, pizza, and prep
  • label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can always be organized and easily accessible
  • maintains cleanliness of coolers, countertops, fryer, grill, and char-broiler on a daily basis
  • perform utility duties when a utility staff member is not scheduled
  • conducts self in a proper manner due to open nature of the kitchen
