Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to two years of related work experience
  • Knowledge of kitchen practices and food preparation
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs regularly
  • Capability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Willingness to work in varying temperature environments
  • Availability to work evening shifts

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent
  • One to two years of experience in a related cooking position
  • Knowledge of cooking practices and kitchen procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Physical stamina to meet job demands

Job Duties

  • Check all items against recipe cards and verify use records for quality presentation
  • Monitor line set up prior to meal functions to ensure efficiency
  • Ensure kitchen equipment maintenance and adhere to clean-as-you-go policies
  • Prepare food according to recipe cards and portion standards accurately
  • Start food items prepared ahead without exceeding estimated needs
  • Date and rotate all food containers following SOPs
  • Check shift pars and prepare line set up accordingly
  • Note out-of-stock items and potential shortages
  • Assist in keeping buffet stocked
  • Return unused food items appropriately covered and dated
  • Assist with food cost control and minimize waste according to SOP
