Currently, Shawarma Guys is hiring for Line Cooks and Prep Cooks who are dependable, motivated, and eager to grow professionally within a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment. This part-time role offers competitive compensation, starting at $19.00 per hour following a successful introductory period, plus shared tips averaging between $3.00 and $6.00 per hour depending on the location. The company provides a clearly structured growth plan, featuring performance reviews at 60 days, 8 months, and 14 months with opportunities to increase hourly pay by up to $3.00 within 14 months along with potential advancement into Assistant-level roles with pay rates up to $24.00 per hour.
As a Line or Prep Cook at Shawarma Guys, you will be responsible for preparing menu items according to established recipes, performing precise daily preparation of proteins, marinades, sides, and ingredients while controlling portions and food weights. Attention to detail is essential as you ensure quality plating and presentation, maintain organized and sanitized workstations, and collaborate closely with the kitchen team to support smooth, efficient service. Strict adherence to food safety, sanitation protocols, and health regulations is expected, along with periodic support in inventory control and supply restocking.
Shawarma Guys values individuals with at least 2 years of experience in fast-casual or high-volume kitchens, possessing sharp knife skills, experience with grilling, slicing, meat grinding, and frying. Being comfortable with digital tools and checklist completion is important, as well as the capability to work independently, manage physical demands including safe lifting of 50+ lbs, and perform well under pressure while maintaining a professional and respectful attitude. Familiarity with Middle Eastern cuisine and bilingual abilities in English and Spanish are considered favorable qualities.
