Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- current food safety certification
- minimum 2 years of line cooking or preparation experience
- ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
- ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- ability to comply with safety and sanitation guidelines
- wear approved slip-resistant or non-slip shoes during work
- arrive on time in designated uniform
- maintain personal hygiene and grooming standards
- comply with company policies and procedures
- pass background check
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- current food safety certification such as ServSafe or SafeStaff
- 2 years of experience performing in line cooking or preparation capacity
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to listen and speak basic English
- ability to read and comprehend recipes, safety instructions, policies and procedures
- skill in preparation of various recipes
- team player with a can-do mindset
Job Duties
- Prepare all menu items according to recipe requirements and adhere to product sensitivity and plate presentation guidelines
- read tickets and prepare order
- coordinate ticket with service/kitchen staff and managers
- work with speed and efficiency to ensure proper and timely output of restaurant menu items
- keep updated on recipe changes and ensure proper execution of recipe procedures to maintain a high quality and consistent product
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen area throughout shift
- complete assigned prep work for stocking and set up of station
- break down and clean station thoroughly every day
- ensure proper rotation of all products to par
- label, day dot, and sign all products
- obtain Chef/Manager signature on all products
- be dressed and well groomed in company approved uniform at all times
- adhere to company and safety policies and procedures
- wear approved manufacturer certified slip resistant or non-slip shoes at all times while working
- perform other work activities such as stock counts, labeling, and signage of products to support safe and efficient kitchen operations as requested by management
