Shop 543 is a premier culinary destination situated with a scenic view overlooking historic carrier ships on the Delaware River. The establishment boasts a vibrant and diverse offering with eight distinct lunch stations, featuring an eclectic menu that spans from artisanal pizzas to fresh sushi. In addition to its lunch stations, the property includes the Jharoka cafe and 543 Market which provide high-quality coffee drinks and grab-and-go food options, catering to the fast-paced lifestyle of its patrons. We are seeking a disciplined and highly skilled Line Cook to strengthen our culinary team. This role is ideal for a career-minded professional who thrives in a dynamic, high-performance scratch-kitchen environment. The position offers a unique balance between professional rigor and work-life harmony, operating Monday through Friday during morning shifts, which is a rare schedule in the culinary industry. The Line Cook will be responsible for executing a diverse menu with precision, managing multiple stations such as Saut, Grill, and Oven, and providing support to other culinary teams including Salad, Pastry, and Prep as needed.
The ideal candidate will uphold and maintain our exacting culinary standards including consistency in food quality, portion control, and refined presentation during high-volume service periods. They will be expected to maintain operational excellence by keeping their station meticulously organized and sanitized, while adhering strictly to all food safety protocols such as FIFO (First In First Out) rotation and temperature logging. Collaboration and professional communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams are essential to ensure an exceptional dining experience for all guests.

- Demonstrate mastery across multiple stations including Saut, Grill, and Oven while providing cross-functional support to Salad, Pastry, and Prep teams as required
- Ensure absolute consistency in food quality, portion control, and aesthetic presentation during high-volume service
- Maintain a meticulously organized and sanitized station adhering to food safety protocols including FIFO rotation and temperature logging
- Foster a culture of clear, professional communication with both Front-of-House and Back-of-House staff to ensure an exceptional guest experience
