Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous cook or prep cook experience required
- Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment required
- Ability to communicate effectively in English required
- Ability to work flexible hours including events required
- Valid food handling certificate if required by regulations
- Commitment to excellent attendance and punctuality
Job Qualifications
- Previous cook or prep cook experience
- Able to operate standard kitchen equipment including broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer, and chef knife
- Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with employees, management, and guests
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
- Possess valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations
- ServSafe certification preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare foods to be served to guests throughout the venue
- Maintain excellent attendance and availability for scheduled events
- Provide high quality, fresh food products in a timely manner
- Prepare hot and cold foods following company recipes and portioning requirements
- Participate as a team player in preparation, service, and delivery of food products
- Report any maintenance required for kitchen equipment
- Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
- Observe and test foods to ensure proper cooking
- Portion, arrange, and garnish food plates for delivery
- Consult with Executive Chef or Kitchen Supervisor to plan menus and estimate food consumption
