The Line Cook role at Oak View Group is an essential and dynamic position responsible for preparing high-quality foods to be served to guests across the venue. This position requires versatility and the ability to function efficiently across multiple kitchen areas including dishwashing, concession preparation, and meal prep. Often, Line Cooks have direct contact with the public, working in buffet lines or preparing made-to-order dishes, which demands professionalism and excellent customer service. Employees in this role must demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining sanitary, health, and safety standards while producing fresh food products in a timely fashion. Additionally, the Line Cook is expected to collaborate closely with executive chefs, sous chefs, or kitchen supervisors in menu planning and food consumption estimation to maintain operational efficiency. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous cook or prep cook experience highly preferred
- ability to operate standard kitchen equipment including broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer and chef knife
- strong communication skills with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests
- ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented, event-driven environment
- availability to work scheduled events per business need
- possess valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations

Job Duties
- providing high-quality fresh food products in a timely manner for delivery to guests
- prepares hot and cold foods following company recipes and portioning requirements
- participates as a team player with specific responsibilities related to preparation, excellent service, and delivery of product
- reports any maintenance required for kitchen equipment
- maintains sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
- observes and tests foods to ensure proper cooking
- portions, arranges, and garnishes food plates for delivery to guests
- consults with Executive Chef, Sous Chef or Kitchen Supervisor to plan menus and estimate expected food consumption
- meets company standard for excellent attendance
