This expansive reach allows the company to influence the live entertainment industry on a global scale, delivering exceptional experiences to millions of guests every year.
The Line Cook position at Oak View Group plays a critical role in maintaining the high standards of food quality and service that guests expect at these prestigious venues. Working primarily in a fast-paced, event-driven environment, the Line Cook is responsible for preparing a variety of hot and cold dishes in accordance with company recipes and portioning guidelines. This role often requires interaction with guests in public-facing areas such as buffet lines, making customer service an integral part of the job. The Line Cook must consistently demonstrate excellent attendance and flexibility to work scheduled events based on business needs.
This role is offered on an hourly pay basis, ranging from $13.70 to $16.44, supporting both career growth and competitive compensation in the hospitality sector. Part-time employees are eligible to participate in the 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, reflecting OVG's commitment to employee financial wellness and long-term investment in its team members.
In this role, the Line Cook is entrusted with preparing fresh, high-quality food products promptly for guest delivery. The position demands teamwork and communication skills as the cook must coordinate with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and Kitchen Supervisor to plan menus and estimate food consumption for events. Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment is paramount, with responsibilities including reporting any needed maintenance of kitchen equipment and adhering to health and safety standards. The Line Cook also ensures food is cooked properly through regular observation and testing and is responsible for portioning, arranging, and garnishing dishes before delivery to guests.
