The Line Cook role at Torchy's is essential to the kitchen operation, acting as the heart where Damn Good food is crafted daily from scratch. This position is deeply involved in the preparation and cooking of ingredients at various stations such as the fry station, grill station, sauté station, steam station, and taco assembly. Line Cooks must be proficient in operating kitchen equipment while following Torchy's recipes and standards meticulously. Beyond cooking, maintaining cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards are critical components of the role. This is a full-time hourly position with an initial pay rate of $13.00 per hour plus tip sharing, reflecting the company's appreciation for its dedicated kitchen staff. Line Cooks at Torchy's are responsible for mastering different cooking stations such as mastering the fry station to ensure all fried items are cooked to the right crispiness and flavor, operating the grill station to cook proteins to the proper temperature, managing the sauté station to create flavorful dishes, running steam equipment to prepare proper steamed dishes, and building each taco with utmost quality and attention to detail. The role requires excellent teamwork skills to coordinate with other back-of-house members to deliver timely food prep and maintain operational efficiency during peak hours. Moreover, the Line Cook assists with inventory management and ingredient stocking, ensuring the kitchen is always primed for success.

The successful candidate will need to meet local and state food handler certification requirements and be willing to work varied schedules depending on restaurant needs. Physical stamina is necessary as the job requires standing for extended periods, bending, stretching, lifting, and moving objects up to 40 pounds.
