Job Requirements

  • Must meet state and local requirements for Food Handler's certification
  • Certification must be obtained by first day or within required timeline
  • Previous experience preferred
  • Open to varied work schedules and hours
  • Ability to stand for several hours
  • Ability to bend stretch twist or reach for objects on shelves at various heights
  • Ability to lift push pull or carry heavy objects up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to serve guests needs with a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to have fun

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous cooking experience in a fast-paced kitchen preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Basic understanding of cooking techniques for frying grilling sautéing steaming and assembly
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to maintain quality and consistency under pressure

Job Duties

  • Master the fry station ensuring all fried items are cooked to perfection with the right crispiness and flavor
  • Operate the grill station cooking proteins to the correct temperature ensuring each taco ingredient is grilled to perfection
  • Manage the sauté station handling various ingredients to create dishes that are flavorful and perfectly cooked
  • Operate steam equipment to prepare dishes requiring steaming maintaining the right texture and flavor
  • Assemble and build each taco to order ensuring each one meets high standards and guest expectations
  • Monitor quality and presentation of each dish ensuring every taco meets company standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met
  • Work closely with other back-of-house team members to ensure food is prepared timely and correctly
  • Assist with stocking and organizing ingredients ensuring kitchen readiness before and during service
  • Operate with a sense of urgency during busy periods keeping up with guest demand while maintaining quality and presentation
