Job Requirements
- Must meet state and local requirements for Food Handler's certification
- Certification must be obtained by first day or within required timeline
- Previous experience preferred
- Open to varied work schedules and hours
- Ability to stand for several hours
- Ability to bend stretch twist or reach for objects on shelves at various heights
- Ability to lift push pull or carry heavy objects up to 40 pounds
- Ability to serve guests needs with a high sense of urgency
- Ability to have fun
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous cooking experience in a fast-paced kitchen preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Basic understanding of cooking techniques for frying grilling sautéing steaming and assembly
- Good communication skills
- Ability to maintain quality and consistency under pressure
Job Duties
- Master the fry station ensuring all fried items are cooked to perfection with the right crispiness and flavor
- Operate the grill station cooking proteins to the correct temperature ensuring each taco ingredient is grilled to perfection
- Manage the sauté station handling various ingredients to create dishes that are flavorful and perfectly cooked
- Operate steam equipment to prepare dishes requiring steaming maintaining the right texture and flavor
- Assemble and build each taco to order ensuring each one meets high standards and guest expectations
- Monitor quality and presentation of each dish ensuring every taco meets company standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work station ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met
- Work closely with other back-of-house team members to ensure food is prepared timely and correctly
- Assist with stocking and organizing ingredients ensuring kitchen readiness before and during service
- Operate with a sense of urgency during busy periods keeping up with guest demand while maintaining quality and presentation
