The role of Line Cook at Ocean Prime is vital to maintaining the high standards that the restaurant is known for. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing an array of hot and cold food items, including salad mixes, sauces, side dishes, appetizers, and more. Duties involve meticulous portioning, washing, peeling, slicing, and mixing of vegetables, fruits, pasta, and other ingredients. Additionally, precise carving and slicing of meats and cheeses are essential parts of the role. The Line Cook must accurately measure and mix ingredients to produce dressings, sauces, salads, and other dishes, following recipes strictly to ensure consistency and quality. At Ocean Prime, the Line Cook is also expected to uphold the highest levels of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety practices. The restaurant stresses the importance of positive personal hygiene habits, proper use of gloves, handwashing, and safe knife skills to maintain a safe and efficient kitchen environment. Adherence to emergency procedures and immediate reporting of any unsafe conditions is also required. Job Duties

  • Report to work on time as indicated on the work schedule
  • maintain and clean uniform that meets restaurant requirements
  • practice positive personal hygiene and cleanliness during all work shifts
  • prep all food items according to company specifications, recipes, procedures, plate presentation, and quality standards
  • ensure guests have a superior dining experience by correctly prepping food products
  • display proper food safety techniques including personal hygiene, hand washing, glove use, and knife skills
  • know emergency procedures for the restaurant
  • maintain highest degree of sanitation, cleanliness, and food safety in the work area including prep tables, countertops, refrigeration units, floors, walls, and shelving
  • perform all job duties adhering to safety guidelines, reporting any unsafe conditions, acts, accidents, or injuries immediately
