The Line Cook position specializing in noodles is a vital role within Din Tai Fung’s kitchen brigade. This role focuses on preparing, cooking, and plating noodle dishes according to strict company recipes and presentation standards. Line Cooks in the noodle section learn and master the various noodle recipes, cook times, and techniques essential to Din Tai Fung’s culinary offerings. Accurate preparation of ingredients, quality checks, and adherence to food safety regulations are fundamental to ensuring every dish meets the restaurant’s exceptional standards.

In this role, the Line Cook must thrive in fast-paced surroundings, exhibiting energy, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn and adapt. Job Duties

  • Learn all noodle recipes, cook times, and cooking techniques per Din Tai Fung’s procedures
  • Check the ingredient quality prior to beginning cooking
  • Cook the ingredients in accordance with Din Tai Fung’s recipes
  • Plate the final product in accordance with Din Tai Fung’s plating guidelines
  • Prepare and cut garnishes for noodle line items
  • Label all items in accordance with Health Department regulations and Din Tai Fung procedures
  • Attend monthly staff meetings and noodle meetings
