Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Culinary arts degree preferred
- At least 2 years of cooking experience, health care setting preferred
- Must have knowledge of therapeutic diets, food allergies and sanitation, as well as related laws to the food service environment
- Must be able to work harmoniously with others
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- This is primarily a standing position, may need to stand in one place for extended periods of time
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Assures all dietary procedures are followed
- Must be able to operate all kitchen equipment safely and effectively including meat slicers, food processors, mixers, ovens, grills, steamers, dishwashers, dumb waiters, warmer cabinets
- Assists in establishing food production line to ensure meals are prepared on time
- Represents the community with a positive attitude and pride when interacting with potential residents and families
- Prepares and serves nutritious meals, ensuring high-quality presentation and flavorful meals for residents
