The Patina Group is currently seeking a full-time Line Cook to join the team at Nick and Stef's in New York, New York. This opportunity offers an hourly wage of $20.00 to $22.00 and the chance to work in a prestigious and dynamic environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing dishes according to precise recipes and chef specifications, ensuring that every plate meets the highest standards of quality and presentation. The position demands attention to detail, speed, and an ability to work collaboratively within the kitchen team. It encompasses responsibilities such as properly measuring, portioning, and cooking food items promptly; maintaining correct food temperatures and safe storage; performing opening, closing, and side work duties; maintaining a clean and organized workstation; and adhering to waste control guidelines.

This role is ideal for culinary professionals who have at least one year of experience as a prep cook or line cook, possess basic math skills for recipe measurement, and have the physical stamina required for the demands of kitchen work, including standing for long periods and handling heavy pans. The schedule includes shifts during days, evenings, holidays, weekdays, and weekends, providing flexibility and a variety of work hours. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a prep cook or line cook
  • ability to prioritize and complete food orders with speed and precision
  • ability to follow procedures and take directions
  • basic math skills to understand, calculate, and follow recipe measurements and proportions
  • physical ability to carry pans weighing up to 50 pounds and operate kitchen equipment
  • capacity to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods
  • willingness to work days, evenings, holidays, weekdays, and weekends
  • no high school diploma or GED required

Job Duties

  • Properly measure, portion, and cook all food items promptly
  • ensure that correct food temperatures are maintained, and food is stored safely

  • use waste control guidelines and record all waste on the spoilage sheet
  • follow recipes and chef instructions accurately
