Job Description

Dish Society is a celebrated restaurant brand that began its successful journey in Houston, Texas, renowned for its unique concept of "fine fast casual" dining. This innovative dining style combines the fast and convenient service of casual eateries with the elevated quality and experience of fine dining. Known for its commitment to serving locally sourced, fresh, and seasonal ingredients, Dish Society has quickly risen to prominence, receiving accolades such as being named one of Houston Press's 25 Best Restaurants and earning the title of the best brunch in all of Texas by USA Today. Its roots are deeply tied to the city of Austin, with its founders hailing from the community and from the University of Texas, ensuring a true local spirit in every dish served.

Dish Society is now making its exciting expansion into Austin, opening its first location in the vibrant Mueller development. This new venue promises to bring the same passion for quality food and an exceptional dining experience to Austin's diverse and dynamic food scene. The restaurant operates throughout the day, offering breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a renowned brunch, all served in a welcoming, modern atmosphere. The service style is fast casual with a twist: customers order at the counter, serve their own drinks, and may choose to sit anywhere—including the bar where they receive full-service attention. The restaurant also boasts a full bar offering handcrafted cocktails, local beers, and a curated wine list, as well as a world-class coffee program that competes with the city’s top cafes.

The kitchen is at the heart of Dish Society’s success, where talented culinary professionals work with a seasonal menu crafted by expert chefs. The kitchen team prepares elevated versions of familiar dishes utilizing high-quality local ingredients, ranging from perfectly cooked salmon and grilled chicken breasts to fresh salads, sandwiches, breakfasts, and more. The team is expected to work swiftly and efficiently across multiple stations, ensuring every dish meets the highest standards of flavor, presentation, and freshness.

Currently, Dish Society is seeking passionate individuals to join their back-of-house team as line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers. These roles require more than just technical skill; the ideal candidates embody the core values of pride, hospitality, growth, and family spirit. Dish Society looks for people who are not just looking for a job, but an exciting career with opportunities for advancement and development, along with benefits that foster both personal and professional growth.

If you are motivated by sustainability, local sourcing, community engagement, and have a magnetic personality combined with a strong work ethic, Dish Society wants you. Whether you are a culinary enthusiast who loves experimenting with flavors or a team player eager to contribute to a fast-paced and innovative environment, this is your chance to be part of something extraordinary. Joining Dish Society means embarking on a thrilling and rewarding culinary adventure where your passion and creativity will be valued and celebrated.
