Job Description

Dish Society is a vibrant and innovative fine fast casual restaurant rooted in the heart of Texas, with a significant footprint beginning in Houston and now making a highly anticipated debut in Austin’s bustling Mueller development. Known for its commitment to serving the freshest, locally sourced ingredients, Dish Society has become synonymous with culinary excellence and community involvement. The restaurant has earned a stellar reputation, having been named one of Houston's top 25 restaurants by the Houston Press and the best brunch in Texas by USA Today. This acclaim reflects the passion and dedication that Dish Society pours into every dish served and every guest experience crafted. Founded by Austinites and University of Texas alumni, Dish Society embodies a spirited Texan hospitality vibe, blending innovative culinary techniques with a strong emphasis on sustainability and local partnerships. As a fine fast casual concept, the restaurant offers a unique dining experience that balances elevated menu offerings with the convenience of counter service and an inviting bar scene. At Dish Society, guests enjoy a full day of dining options from breakfast through dinner, including a legendary brunch featuring chef-driven menus that rotate seasonally to highlight the finest local produce and artisanal ingredients. The bar program features hand-crafted cocktails, a curated selection of local beers, and a concise wine list, alongside a coffee program that competes with the best cafes in town. This dynamic environment provides a thrilling and rewarding workplace for hospitality professionals eager to be part of a visionary journey to expand Dish Society’s footprint across Texas and the nation.

The Line Cook role at Dish Society is integral to upholding the restaurant's commitment to quality and hospitality excellence. Line cooks are active players in a fast-paced kitchen environment, responsible for preparing a diverse array of dishes including salads, sandwiches, breakfast classics like egg white omelets and pancakes, as well as expertly cooked proteins such as medium-rare salmon and chicken breasts. This position demands flexibility and multi-station proficiency, allowing team members to showcase their skills and creativity while adhering to high standards of food safety and quality. Candidates for this role will enjoy working with scratch-made ingredients and seasonal menus, allowing them to continuously learn and evolve within the culinary arts. Beyond culinary tasks, line cooks at Dish Society embody the company’s core values of pride, hospitality, growth, and family spirit, fostering a workplace culture that celebrates teamwork, development, and a shared commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences. Ideal candidates possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for culinary excellence and sustainable sourcing practices. This is not just a job but a launchpad for a fulfilling career in an exciting and rapidly growing restaurant group.
