Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a restaurant cook preferred
  • ServeSafe or Food Handler's certification or willingness to attain
  • Ability to lift 30+ lbs
  • Ability to stand for 8+ hours
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
  • Maintain freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, storing items at the proper temperature and rotating stock
  • Ensure all food items are accurately and consistently prepared according to recipes, up to restaurant quality standards, and served in a timely manner
  • Respond to guest feedback with appropriate urgency and professionalism
  • Communicate effectively with chefs, other cooks, and front-of-house team to maintain a positive workplace
