Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Valid food handlers permit
- Ability to obtain Class II Gaming License
- Must be able to work peak business hours including weekends and holidays
- Pass NRWC pre-employment testing
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to work in a smoke-filled environment
- Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be able to follow instructions precisely
- Positive attitude and teamwork orientation
Job Qualifications
- One year experience in a fast-paced kitchen
- Food handlers permit
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment
- Ability to meet or exceed company core values
- Ability to work under time constraints
- Current knowledge of occupational safety issues
- Ability to work productively and independently
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow instructions and food preparation sheets
- Positive attitude and willingness to serve guests

- Preferred: Two years experience as line cook or buffet-style cook
- Serve Safe Certification

- Effective time management skills
Job Duties
- Prepare food items as required including soups, salads, appetizers, sandwiches, entrees, breakfast items and desserts according to recipes
- Prepare food in a sanitary and timely manner
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation including tables, shelves, counters, grills, and refrigeration
- Employ proper cooking methods, cook to specifications, and handle and rotate food properly according to health and safety standards
- Monitor food temperatures in compliance with safety regulations
- Make recommendations to improve menu offerings and service
- Assist prep cooks and prepare food for banquet functions as directed
- Assist Sous Chefs in training new kitchen staff
- Ensure food quality and proper portioning at all times
- Ensure work areas comply with OSHA and HACCP standards
- Report hazardous conditions immediately
- Assist Sous Chef in managing inventory
- Perform other tasks as assigned
