Job Requirements
- Must possess basic knife skills
- Illinois Food Handler Certification required
- Must possess outstanding interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and with urgency
- Cooperative, helpful, and friendly nature

- Ability to work flexible shifts including holidays
- Frequent walking, sitting, standing, bending, twisting, lifting, and kneeling

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Sets up and breaks down station as per production sheet
- Prepares and cooks items to specification as ordered by the customer
- Reheats soups, sauces, and other menu items according to daily rotations
- Ensures excellent presentation of all prepared foods
- Cooks the exact number of items ordered by customers, handling multiple orders simultaneously
- Restocks and maintains prep station and/or salad bar
- Meets or exceeds assigned prep lists daily
- Occasionally performs buffet cook and production cook duties
- Maintains high sanitation standards at the workstation
- Keeps food areas clean and free of debris
- Communicates with Sous Chef about product shortages
- Breaks down and stores daily deliveries
- Monitors freezer, walk-ins, and storerooms for freshness and availability
- Ensures proper FIFO procedures
- Checks food items and temperatures
- Assists in quality control of prepared foods
- Ensures clear communication between shifts
- Follows departmental policies and procedures
- Prepares and follows recipes per standardized cards or supervisor guidelines
- Completes side work and departmental assignments
- Provides prompt, professional, and courteous guest service
- Performs other assigned duties as needed
