The Line Cook role at TPG Hotels, Resorts & Marinas is integral to the delivery of high-quality food preparation that meets stringent safety, quality, and brand standards. Job Requirements

  • High school education
  • One or more years of previous experience as a line cook or similar culinary role preferred
  • Knowledge of various cooking techniques and food preparation methods
  • Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet timing requirements
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Prepare and portion ingredients for various dishes following recipes and guidelines
  • Cook and grill a diverse range of menu items including meats, seafood, vegetables, and sauces with precision and attention to detail
  • Set up and organize the cooking station with necessary tools, equipment, and ingredients before service
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure all components of dishes are ready simultaneously maintaining efficiency
  • Inspect ingredients and finished dishes for quality, taste, and appearance addressing issues promptly
  • Follow food safety and sanitation practices to prevent cross-contamination and health hazards
  • Maintain knowledge of menu offerings including ingredients, preparation methods, and plating techniques assisting with menu updates
  • Keep the cooking station clean and organized ensuring equipment and utensils are properly maintained
  • Monitor ingredient levels and notify kitchen manager or chef of shortages or stock requirements
  • Collaborate effectively with kitchen team maintaining positive work environment
  • Adapt to different tasks and responsibilities as needed in a fast-paced kitchen environment
