Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • minimum one year experience in a related field required
  • previous food services experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • ability to work safely and cooperatively with others
  • willingness to work for the best interests of the facility

  • capability to operate kitchen equipment safely
  • adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • prepare, cook, and serve food to clients consistent with quality standards
  • maintain orderly storage and cleanliness of kitchen, dining, and food storage areas
  • check and complete temperature charts for refrigerators and freezers daily
  • properly use approved cleaning agents in food preparation, storage, and refuse disposal areas
  • remove trash and refuse from kitchen, dining room, and storage areas
  • safely operate meat slicer and other kitchen equipment
  • inventory food service items and supplies as directed
  • conduct work activities in a safe and orderly manner
  • work cooperatively with others
  • report any health status changes to supervisor
  • take responsibility for professional growth
  • perform other duties as assigned
