At Eureka!, the goal is to hire talented individuals who contribute positively, providing an enthusiastic experience for guests while also being supportive coworkers within the team. The company thrives on a community spirit and shared excitement, ensuring that every staff member plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

The position available is for a Line Cook, a crucial role responsible for preparing all menu items according to established quality and timing standards. This is a non-exempt position reporting directly to the Kitchen Manager and indirectly to other members of management. The line cook plays a vital role in ensuring food is prepared to precise recipes while maintaining a clean and sanitary workspace. Attention to detail and adherence to quality guidelines are paramount to success in this role.

A line cook at Eureka! is expected to operate various kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and more to create dishes that meet the restaurant's quality specifications. They interact with team members in a friendly and professional manner, maintain workstation cleanliness, assemble and dismantle workstations timely, and prepare all plates for final presentation. Responsibilities include cooking french fries, toasting buns and bread, skimming and cleaning fryers, labeling and rotating prepped items following shelf life specifications, and assisting colleagues in other kitchen areas such as salads and sauté stations when necessary.

Working at Eureka! demands a positive attitude, consistent attendance, punctuality, and full compliance with employee handbooks and training manuals. The role requires standing for prolonged periods, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting supplies, and handling repetitive hand motions. The environment may occasionally be loud, hot, and physically demanding due to working around hot, cold, and potentially hazardous equipment.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess a Food Handler Safety Training Card to meet the qualifications for this position. Equipment commonly used in the kitchen includes fryers, grills, knives, measuring utensils, mixers, ovens, slicers, and various cleaning tools. The wage expectation for this non-exempt position ranges competitively hourly to reflect the candidate's experience and contribution.

Eureka! offers a workplace where employees can grow professionally while immersing themselves in a culture of discovery and community. Individuals passionate about culinary arts and delivering excellent guest experiences will find rewarding opportunities here.
