Job Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in a kitchen, cafeteria, or food service environment preferred
  • Basic knowledge of food safety, handling, and sanitation practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and respectfully with individuals from diverse cultural and language backgrounds
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/push/pull up to 30 lbs
  • Must obtain food handler's permit upon hire within 30 days

Job Duties

  • Receive pre-cooked or pre-prepped food items from the banquet kitchen and prepare them for service in the employee cafe according to established procedures
  • Set up and maintain hot and cold food stations and buffet lines for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner shifts
  • Ensure all food items are properly reheated, portioned, garnished, and displayed with attention to quality and presentation
  • Monitor food levels during service and restock as necessary to ensure consistent availability
  • Label, date, and store leftover food items in accordance with food safety and storage guidelines
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment, including service areas, equipment, and utensils
  • Comply with all food handling, sanitation, and safety standards as outlined by the company and health department
  • Provide friendly, efficient service to all employees and respond to questions or needs with a positive attitude
  • Communicate supply or food quantity needs to the banquet kitchen or supervisor in a timely manner
