Job Description
Eataly is the world’s largest artisanal Italian food and beverage marketplace, renowned for offering authentic and high-quality Italian culinary experiences. It is not a traditional chain, as each Eataly location is uniquely designed with its own character and theme tailored to the community it serves. This distinctiveness allows Eataly to maintain a boutique, bespoke ambiance in every location while delivering a consistent commitment to excellence and authenticity. At Eataly, guests are invited to immerse themselves in authentic Italian culture, where they can eat genuine Italian dishes at the onsite restaurants, cafés, and to-go counters. The marketplace also offers an extensive selection of high-quality Italian, local, and homemade products that appeal to food lovers and connoisseurs alike. Additionally, Eataly is dedicated to education by providing classes taught by knowledgeable staff to help customers learn more about Italian food and culinary techniques.
The Line Cook position at Eataly plays a critical role in bringing the marketplace’s culinary vision to life. As a Line Cook, you will be entrusted with transforming high-quality and unique ingredients into authentic Italian dishes, executed with precision and creativity in Eataly’s fast-paced, open kitchen environments. Under the guidance of the Sous Chef Manager or Chef de Cuisine, you will handle various cooking methods including frying, sautéing, baking, and plating to ensure the highest standards of quality and presentation. This role requires skill and dedication as you manage multiple culinary tasks such as portioning, slicing, dipping, battering, and maintaining proper holding temperatures. Your craftsmanship and culinary techniques directly influence the dining experience, making this a highly rewarding position for those passionate about Italian cuisine. The nature of the work requires a flexible schedule, frequently including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support the dynamic and bustling atmosphere in Eataly’s kitchens. This job offers a unique opportunity to grow in an inspiring food-centric environment while being part of a company that values quality, tradition, and innovation in Italian cooking.
