Job Requirements
- Be at least eighteen years of age
- Possess a current Food Handlers Card
- Demonstrate leadership, training, and supervision skills
- Have proficient communication skills
- Be physically able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the workday
- Able to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working near extreme temperatures including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers
- Willing to work indoors and occasionally outdoors
- Must be criminally cleared
Job Qualifications
- Possess a current Food Handlers Card as specified per the Department of Health
- Demonstrate skills, knowledge, and competency in leadership, training, and supervision
- Possess proficient written and oral communication skills
- Able to read, write, understand and communicate in English
- Have experience in cooking or food service
Job Duties
- Prepare menu items according to established standards and recipes
- Provide exceptional quality food that is attractively presented in a timely manner
- Ensure health protocols are followed including proper hygiene, sanitary food preparation, and proper food temperatures
- Familiarize with residents preferences and needs
- Participate in resident orientations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work areas
- Adhere to safety and sanitation standards
