The current opportunity is for a full-time Cook position located at The Fremont Senior Living community in Springfield, Missouri. The role offers a starting wage between $18.00 and $19.00 per hour, with shifts scheduled Sunday through Tuesday from 10 am to 6 pm and Friday through Saturday from 11:30 am to 7:30 pm. The Cook position at Arrow Senior Living is more than just about food preparation – it’s about being a Culinary Craftsman, Culinary Connector, and ensuring a sanitary, health-compliant kitchen environment. The Cook is responsible for preparing menu items following established standards and recipes, ensuring every dish is high-quality, attractively presented, and served in a timely manner. Job Requirements

  • possess a current Food Handlers Card as specified per the Department of Health
  • demonstrate skills knowledge and competency in leadership training and supervision
  • have proficient written and oral communication skills with management professional and support staff
  • be active and able to stand walk bend kneel and stoop throughout the day
  • be able to frequently lift and move items up to 50 pounds
  • be comfortable in close contact with extreme temperatures including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers
  • have the ability to work primarily indoors and be available to work outside for events
  • be criminally cleared
  • be able to read write understand and communicate in English
