The Line Cook role is integral to the smooth operation of the kitchen, responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to established recipes and quality standards. The Line Cook ensures the kitchen is maintained in a clean and orderly fashion, supporting overall kitchen hygiene and safety protocols. Key tasks include cutting, mixing, chopping, and making sauces, along with grilling, frying, sautéing, broiling, and other cooking techniques. The Line Cook works closely with the rest of the back-of-house (BOH) team to provide support and assist in various tasks as needed. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform efficiently in a high-pressure environment. Ideal candidates will be motivated, team-oriented, and committed to maintaining the highest levels of food safety and quality. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience as a line cook or similar role
  • knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • capacity to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • physical stamina for repetitive tasks
  • good communication skills

Job Duties

  • Maintains a clean kitchen
  • prepares food on the line by cutting, mixing, chopping, and making sauces
  • cooks items on the line by grilling, frying, chopping, sauteing, and broiling to quality guidelines and standardized recipes
  • assists other BOH team members as needed
