Job Requirements
- be at least eighteen years of age
- read, write, understand, and communicate in English
- active standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day
- ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
- comfortable working in close contact with extreme temperatures including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers
- ability to work primarily indoors and occasionally outdoors for events
- criminal background clearance
Job Qualifications
- possess a current Food Handlers Card as specified per the Department of Health
- demonstrate skills, knowledge, and competency in leadership, training, and supervision
- proficient written and oral communication skills with management, professional, and support staff
- ability to work in a team environment
- knowledge of food safety regulations
Job Duties
- prepare all menu items according to established standards and recipes
- provide exceptional quality food that is attractively presented in a timely fashion
- ensure health protocols are always followed including proper hygiene and sanitary food preparation
- maintain proper food temperatures
- familiarize yourself with residents and their preferences and needs
- participate in resident orientations
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
