The role of Line Cook / Dishwasher at Miramont Country Club is integral to the daily success of the culinary operations. This position is a dual-function role where the individual contributes both to food preparation and kitchen sanitation, thereby ensuring smooth and efficient kitchen workflow. As a Line Cook, the candidate is responsible for preparing high-quality menu items for members and guests, adhering strictly to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines to achieve consistency, taste, and aesthetic appeal. The position demands attention to detail in maintaining stringent food safety standards and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The candidate will collaborate closely with the culinary team in a fast-paced and high-volume kitchen environment, requiring excellent coordination and communication skills to ensure timely and accurate food order execution.

In addition to the culinary preparation duties, the dishwasher component of the role requires maintaining meticulous cleanliness and organization within the kitchen. This encompasses washing, sanitizing, and properly storing all kitchen wares, utensils, equipment, and machinery to meet health and safety standards. The dishwasher will also assist with general kitchen maintenance tasks including cleaning floors, storage areas, and participating in deep-cleaning procedures. Employment for this role is in person with a starting pay from $13.00 per hour. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
  • Food safety certification required or ability to obtain
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Ability to meet physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to wear protective equipment including non-slip shoes and apron
  • Ability to follow sanitation and food safety protocols
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions
  • Ability to work in hot, cold or slippery conditions

Job Duties

  • Prepare menu items to order for member and guest service, following standard recipes and presentation guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal health and food safety regulations
  • Operate, clean and maintain kitchen equipment and machinery safely according to established procedures
  • Execute high-volume batch cooking as well as individual à la carte and to-go orders with consistency and quality
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate timing, accuracy and flow of food orders
  • Requisition ingredients and supplies necessary for daily production
  • Demonstrate knowledge of proper and artful plate presentation
