Job Requirements
- Required to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and some holidays
- Required to purchase appropriate uniform upon hiring
- Maintains a food handlers permit
- This position will spend 100% of the time standing and working in congested areas
- Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water
- Must be able to withstand continuous walking, standing, bending and climbing stairs
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds when needed
- Must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 35 pounds regularly
- Smoking is not permitted on the premises
Job Qualifications
- Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills
- Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures
- Previous prep or line cook experience
- Proven ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized
- Must be able to speak, read and understand basic cooking directions
- Comprehensive understanding of the English language
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and managers
Job Duties

- Maintain a professional appearance at all times
- Report to work as scheduled (no earlier than five minutes), in uniform, and ready to work
- Maintain professional relationships with all coworkers
- Follow checklists and standard operating procedures
- Perform duties as assigned
- Demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule
- Provide the highest level of service in accordance with our standards
- Sets up station according to restaurant guidelines
- Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
- Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant
- Restocks all items as needed throughout shift
- Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills
- Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in station
- Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas
- Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the management team
