Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Relevant culinary or kitchen experience
- Valid state-issued Health Card
- Ability to work all shifts including weekends and evenings
- Physical ability to push/pull up to 150lbs and lift up to 70lbs
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure
- Team-oriented mindset
- Compliance with health and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent desirable
- Military school or formal on-the-job training preferred
- Training from culinary school is an asset
- Experience with quantity food preparation preferred
- Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
- Ability to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
- Team player with good communication skills
- Patient and able to stay positive under pressure
- Demonstrated cooking skills and ability to follow menus and recipes
- Knowledge of proper nutritional requirements
- Ability to listen and understand chef instructions
- Stamina to work long hours on feet
- Must have a state-issued Health Card
- Availability to work all shifts including weekends and evenings
- Good hand-eye coordination and mental alertness
- Ability to concentrate with numerous distractions
Job Duties
- Review menus and prepare food needed
- Assure all food procedures are followed according to company and health codes
- Coordinate food service with other departments
- Follow all sanitation guidelines
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
- Clean up station and manage leftover food
- Follow executive or sous chef instructions
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure food is prepared simultaneously, in high quality and timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
