Strong teamwork and communication skills are necessary to collaborate efficiently with management, chefs, and fellow coworkers, addressing guest and management needs positively throughout the shift.

In addition to general kitchen duties, the cook will assist with the production of in-house baked goods, including breads, desserts, and pastries following established recipes. This includes prepping pastry components such as batters, doughs, custards, and simple plated desserts. Maintaining organization, cleanliness, and inventory levels for the pastry station will also be required.

This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to reach, bend, stoop, lift up to 40 pounds regularly, and stand for long periods. The cook must uphold exceptional hygiene and grooming habits and acquire a Utah food handler's permit within 14 days of onboarding. Working nights, weekends, and some holidays is expected to ensure continuous kitchen operation.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cooking or kitchen experience preferred
  • Ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Physical capability to perform kitchen duties including lifting and standing for extended periods
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Utah food handler's permit or ability to obtain within 14 days
  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • Strong communication skills

Job Duties

  • Possess ability to work two or more stations, and in any capacity on the line
  • Show higher than average proficiency with basic line skills including grilling, deep frying, roasting, searing, etc.
  • Display ability to take detailed instruction and tasks from sous chefs and executive chef
  • Properly label and date all products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation
  • Work as a team and effectively communicate with management, chefs, and fellow coworkers in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and/or management
  • Remain positive with a good attitude throughout shift
  • Follow company policies and procedures
  • Assist with production of in-house baked goods (breads, desserts, pastries) according to established recipes
