Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
  • 1+ years experience as a cook in a full-service restaurant
  • ServeSafe Certified a plus
  • availability to work 3 am to 11 am shifts including Saturdays and Sundays
  • ability to stand and walk constantly during shifts
  • capability to bend, kneel, squat, climb occasionally
  • ability to communicate orally and read regularly
  • dependable
  • flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to follow health and safety regulations and guidelines
  • strong communication skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
  • ensure all food is cooked and presented in a timely manner and meets the restaurant's quality standards
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen including workstations, equipment, and storage areas
  • follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and hygienic kitchen environment
  • assist in the preparation and portioning of ingredients for use in cooking
  • operate kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, fryers, and mixers safely and efficiently
  • monitor food stock levels and communicate shortages to the kitchen manager or supervisor
  • collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service
  • assist in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper storage procedures are followed
  • participate in the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and utensils
  • follow all health and safety regulations including proper use of personal protective equipment
  • maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced environment
