Job Requirements

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen ideally as a line cook or prep cook
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Food safety certification such as ServSafe
  • Availability to work evenings weekends and holidays based on the club's event and dining schedule

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen ideally as a line cook or prep cook
  • Previous experience in a country club hotel or fine dining environment is a plus
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Food safety certification such as ServSafe
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques ingredient handling and food preparation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and execute dishes to a high standard
  • Ability to manage time effectively particularly in a high-pressure environment
  • Strong organizational skills to keep your station clean and stocked
  • High attention to detail to ensure consistency and quality in every dish
  • Ability to work effectively within a team cooperating with fellow kitchen staff and communicating effectively to ensure smooth operations
  • Flexibility to work in different areas of the kitchen including prep work and cleaning depending on need
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and kitchen sanitation standards
  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Ability to stand for long periods lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to the menu following recipes and food preparation standards
  • Maintain your assigned station efficiently ensuring that all ingredients and equipment are prepared and available for service
  • Keep the station clean organized and stocked throughout the shift
  • Ensure that all orders are completed on time coordinating with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service during busy periods
  • Monitor the quality and consistency of food being prepared and cooked ensuring that all dishes meet the club's culinary standards for flavor appearance and portion control
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area including cleaning equipment utensils and workstations throughout the shift
  • Assist with inventory control by ensuring that ingredients and supplies are properly stored and rotated
  • Report low inventory levels to the sous chef or executive chef
  • Work closely with other kitchen staff including line cooks sous chefs and dishwashers to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Communicate effectively with the front-of-house team to ensure proper order timing
  • Assist in the preparation of food for special events banquets and catering functions ensuring that all orders are prepared and served according to specifications
  • Be flexible and willing to assist in other areas of the kitchen or help with prep work as needed
  • Adapt to changes in the menu or special requests during service
  • Work collaboratively with all kitchen and service staff to ensure that food is prepared and served in an efficient and professional manner contributing to a positive dining experience for members and guests
