Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years experience in a professional kitchen environment
  • food safety certification required
  • ability to work evenings weekends and holidays
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs

  • flexibility to adapt to different kitchen duties and fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years experience in a professional kitchen ideally as a line cook or prep cook
  • previous experience in a country club hotel or fine dining environment is a plus
  • a high school diploma or equivalent
  • formal culinary education or completion of a culinary arts program preferred but not required
  • food safety certification such as ServSafe required
  • availability to work evenings weekends and holidays
  • strong knowledge of cooking techniques ingredient handling and food preparation
  • ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to the menu following recipes and food preparation standards
  • maintain assigned station efficiently ensuring all ingredients and equipment are prepared and available for service
  • keep station clean organized and stocked throughout the shift
  • ensure all orders are completed on time coordinating with other kitchen staff for timely and efficient service
  • monitor quality and consistency of food ensuring all dishes meet culinary standards for flavor appearance and portion control
  • adhere to food safety and sanitation standards maintaining a clean and organized kitchen area including cleaning equipment utensils and workstations
  • assist with inventory control ensuring proper storage and rotation of ingredients and supplies reporting low inventory levels
  • work closely with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure smooth kitchen operations and proper order timing
  • assist in preparation of food for special events banquets and catering following specifications
  • be flexible and willing to assist in other kitchen areas and adapt to menu changes
  • collaborate with kitchen and service staff to ensure efficient and professional food preparation and service
